After graduating with a mention of d’honor and having been a solo oboe for three years with the Young Orchestra of Valencia, he was selected to study at the Escuela Reina Sofía in Madrid to continue his oboe studies with Hansjörg Schellenberger (solo oboe of the Philharmonica of Berlin at that moment) and develop his knowledge with renowned directors or performers such as James Judd, Luciano Luciano Berio, Jordi Savall, Ros-Marbá and perform concerts and chamber recitals with great musicians like Klaus Thunemann, Radovan Vlatković , Bruno Canino and Eduard Brunner.

He has also participated in lectures by teachers such as Albrecht Mayer, Juan-Manuel Lumbreras and Maurice Bourgue.

In 2003 was selected to be part of the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester as soloist oboe and performed in venues such as the Musikverein, Konzerthaus, Usher Hall Edinburgh, Opera City and Santury Hall in Tokyo, with directors Ingo Metzmacher and Pierre Boulez. This same year he was hired by the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa being the titular director Juanjo Mena.

In 2004 he was selected by the Symphonic Orchestra of Castilla y León. In 2006 while Sebastian Weigle was the titular director of the Liceo he was admitted as the oboe soloist by the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.

Since then, César has been concentrating his musical activity in Barcelona and has collaborated with the Orquesta Nacional d’Andorra (with which he has acted as soloist at the Palau de la Musica Catalana), the Münchner Kammer Orchester, the National Orchestra of Spain or the Symphonic Orchestra of Barcelona and National of Catalonia. This involves performances with artists such as Plácido Domingo, Joyce Didonato, Joshua Bello, Leonidas Kavakos, Khatia Buniatishvili, Ton Koopman, Andrew Davis, Philippe Auguin, Fabio Luisi, …

Often he performs recitals with pianist Emili Blasco, the organist Izumi Kand with which he has recorded a CD of liturgical music “Cono Spirito” and performances as soloist with the Orchestra of AIMS, directed by Sergey Ostrovsky.

In the teaching field, Cèsar has been a teacher at the Musikene (Upper Music Center of the Basque Country) and since 2012 he is an oboe and chamber music teacher at the Conservatory of Music of the Liceu in Barcelona.
